In India, a “heavy” tuning fork set typically refers to weighted tuning forks. These forks have small weights at the end of the prongs, which create stronger, longer-lasting physical vibrations designed to be felt directly on the body for muscle relaxation and pain relief.
Key Specifications for “Heavy” Sets
- Material: Most therapeutic sets are made from High-Grade Aluminium Alloy because it is lightweight to hold but provides long resonance. Steel versions are also available but are generally used in physics labs.
- Frequencies: Common 8-piece sets follow the Harmonic Spectrum (C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C) or specific Chakra frequencies.
- Weights: Look for the circular “weights” at the tips of the prongs to ensure they are the “heavy” (weighted) type meant for bodywork.
For a heavy-duty tuning fork set of 8 in India, options typically range from scientific “Welch Type” steel sets to aluminum therapy sets.
