1. Preparation: Clean with detergent and rinse with distilled water. Condition the pipette by rinsing it three times with the specific solution you intend to measure.
2. Filling: Use a pipette bulb or pump to draw liquid 2–3 cm above the graduation mark.
3. Adjustment: Holding the pipette vertical at eye level, slowly release liquid until the bottom of the meniscus aligns perfectly with the graduation mark.
4. Dispensing: Allow the liquid to drain by gravity into the receiving vessel.
5. Final Step: Once drained, touch the tip to the inner wall of the vessel to remove the last hanging drop. Do not blow out the remaining liquid in the tip.
