It is primarily configured to hold 24 tubes of 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL, but it is highly versatile through the use of specific adapters. To use smaller tube sizes in the AS24-2 rotor, the following adapter sets (typically 24 pieces per pack) are available from DLAB and retailers like Camlab:
- A02P2 (Cat. No. 19500001): Adapts 2.0 mL slots for 0.2 mL tubes.
- A05P2 (Cat. No. 19500002): Adapts 2.0 mL slots for 0.5 mL tubes.
